Twenty Tiny Toes Loves....

Twenty Tiny Toes has taken me on a journey that I never thought I would take.
It started as a little hobby when my babies were little and is proving to be much bigger.
Along my journey I have met some amazing women and developed some great friendships.
I just want to share with you some of my friends and some of my favorite businesses, their pages are well worth the look and make sure you tell them that Twenty Tiny Toes sent you.

And that's just to name a few. More of my friends/favs to be continued in future blogs.

Happy Wednesday Everyone :)

Say it out LOUD....

I've been told I have to say it out loud, so here I go...
no better place to announce it than on my blog with a big audience-

Call me crazy but a while ago I signed up and yesterday I started day one of the
MICHELLE BRIDGES 12 WEEK BODY TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE!!

There I go, now I've said it out loud and everyone knows about it- the pressure is on to succeed!!

So far so good, I am so impressed with the program already.
Last week I got my shopping list, which lists exactly what you need for the up coming week.
She only releases one week at a time, so every week is a surprise.
You get a weekly food planner with all the recipes needed along with a weekly training routine, telling you what to do step by step. I normally go to the gym quite frequently but I have never pushed myself the way Michelle has pushed me in the program the last two days, I have crawled out of that gym sweating and smelling a treat ;)

I am looking forward to the next 12 weeks and hopefully you will see a much smaller version of myself.
Lets see if I can shed those kilos just in time for summer.
Wish me luck.
I'll keep you all posted on my progress xx

What's New...

Good morning- Happy Friday Everyone!

Hope you all have a nice relaxing weekend planned. Apart from putting my nurses hat on for tonight and tomorrow I am hoping for a quite one. Twenty Tiny Toes HQ have been very busy over the past couple of weeks with markets, custom orders, sourcing fabric for our Summer 2012-2013 range, work (nursing), quick trip to Melbourne for my little boy to have day surgery and to throw in the mix, the whole house hold has suffered colds on and off, just to make life more interesting. Lets just say I am so sick of this cold weather.... bring on spring.

Speaking of spring, I think I am trying to make it come around quicker as I have been busy designing and creating our Summer 2012-13 range of Ruffle Bums, our new and improved Ra Ra Skirts, with matching Tees and Accessories. Lets just say- I am a little bit excited.

Twenty Tiny Toes Ra Ra Skirts consists of 3 layers of beautiful ruffles made from designer fabrics, complimented with a fabric bow which can be tied at the front or the back.
Sizing varies from a size 1 to a size 5. (***up to size 12 upon request- cost may vary***)
Comfortable elastic waistband.
Ra Ra Skirts- $40 each
Ra Ra Skirt with matching Tee- $55
Ra Ra Skirt Set with matching Tee & Hair Accessory- $60

I know how desperate the handmade market is for more good quality, funky boys clothing and products, but I just can't find the product or design that excites and motivates me. Sorry boys... I feel for my little boy who wonders why his twin sister is getting all the attention and photos when she models some of the products for me. Here is a sympathy photo I took of him.... Don't worry boys- I am not giving up :)

As Twenty Tiny Toes currently mainly consists of me in my little studio and with my busy family and work life I only have limited custom spots available. Today I am opening 4 custom spots for the products of your choice to the first 4 people who follow my blog. All you need to do is follow my blog then email me at twenty_tiny_toes@hotmail.com and put your order in.

Have a lovely weekend
Dee xx

Life... as I know it

LIFE ...as I know it

Hey there, welcome to my blog.
I thought I would take this opportunity to officially introduce myself and my family.
Some of you may already know me and my family, but for those who don't here's a little bit about me.
I grew up on a cereal farm in the Mallee, 42 kms west from Swan Hill with my Dad, Mum, Little Sister and my Little Brother. Farm life was great, there was never a dull moment. Wether it was helping bottle feed the 10 or so orphan lambs at a time, helping Dad with the tractor driving or popping a saddle on the pet calves and having a ride. We still love visiting Mum and Dad on the farm today.

I went to primary school at a little country town called Ultima which had less than 100 students in total. Then I progressed to Swan Hill Secondary College in 1993. This is where I met so many of  my very close friends (you all know who you are) and first met my soul mate and one true love, Ryan at the age of 14.

After high school I had a decision to make, to either peruse a career in beauty therapy in Melbourne or nursing in Ballarat. I chose nursing and didn't look back. However this meant my high school sweetheart and I went separate ways as he was going to study civil engineering in Melbourne.
I well and truly lived up to the University life whilst studying nursing for 3 years, living off what felt like a few dollars a week, but somehow always found the money to enjoy the night life with friends.
I graduated in 2001 and made the big move to Melbourne to work at the Austin Hospital where I undertook my Grad year. My high school sweetheart and I rekindled our relationship in my last year of uni, so it made perfect sense to move in together in Melbourne as he was in his last year of civil engineering.

Living in Melbourne was something else, shops open all night with so many to choose from, catching up with friends at all of the hot spots in town to eat, drink and party and opening my eyes living and learning all of the other beautiful cultures in the world.

In 2002 Ryan had graduated and scored a civil engineering position in country Victoria... Shepparton. So off we went, not knowing anyone in town. Since then with the help from some sporting clubs we have made some amazing life long friends. I started work at GV Health in the Surgical Ward where I worked hard hours for 7 long years. That was until I was introduced to the beauty of community nursing, ever since I have enjoyed working at District Nursing and Hospital in the Home.

After an 18 month engagement I married my high school sweet heart, deb partner, soul mate and best friend- Ryan on 28th of October 2005.
We purchased our first home in Shepparton and spent 3 years extending and renovating it, I lived without an oven for 12 months and cooked EVERYTHING on the BBQ, even a batch of scones and the odd cake. We lived out of the big tartan bags as we moved them from room to room as we renovated each room separately in stages. I can't really say that I would like to live that experience again.

Life back then was simple and relaxed.... that was until these two beautiful little creatures rocked our world!
On Monday December 14 at 10:20pm and 10:23pm our handsome little man and beautiful little princess arrived quite quickly. Life as we knew it......was now GONE! Despite the long nights, endless dirty nappies, no sign at all of a thing called a social life and the constant crying, we wouldn't have it any other way! Each day our two beautiful children bring us so much love, joy and happiness, along with many other things which I will fail to mention. Life is good!

Since the birth of Lachlan and Morgan, needless to say the other member of our family- Bronson, has felt a little neglected and left out, with limited time for walks and quality time. However, the kids have grown up with him and now they are all the best of friends.

Twenty Tiny Toes was created and inspired by Lachie & Morgan, hence the name. I grew up with my Mum always having some craft project on the go and I have always loved creating handmade products for friends and family. It actually just started out as being some 'ME' time but then with it's success it just made sense to expand on the thing that I am very passionate about and I love doing. I only need to decide now what Twenty Tiny Toes products to concentrate on making in the future as my range is currently quite large and needs to change for improved products, customer satisfaction and service. I would love to know what your favorite Twenty Tiny Toes products are.

New Beginnings...

Well... here I am, sitting here in my lounge room with a cuppa while the kids are in bed and I'm attempting to start a blog about the adventures of Twenty Tiny Toes. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not techno savvy in the slightest, so you'll have to bear with me as I will be learning as I go.

The main reason why I'm starting a blog is to try and reach out on a personal level to all of you Twenty Tiny Toes fans and communicate with you all... away from Facebook. As much as I do like Facebook, I still feel sometimes I ramble on and I don't think everyone would appreciate me flooding their news feeds. At least now you all have a choice as to whether you would like to follow my blogs and listen to my rambling.

I haven't really decided which direction or format I am going to approach, but if there is a topic that you would like me to cover just send me an email to twenty_tiny_toes@hotmail.com as I'd love to hear it.

I'm just going to make today's entry short and sweet as I'm going to play with the design of the page and try and suss out what I'm actually doing... wish me luck :)
